SIG plc is a British-based international supplier of insulation, roofing, commercial interiors and specialist construction products.
SIG Distribution approached Make Events to pivot their live event into a virtual experience. Originally, the event was to launch their new super site in London but once they learnt the potential of virtual events, they expanded the event to target a wider audience.
It evolved into bringing all of SIG Plc’s customers and suppliers together to celebrate the future of the company. A huge part of this was introducing their new Managing Director and UK Board.
Make Events have been SIG Distribution’s main events provider for three years.
The conference was live streamed from a fully customisable studio (located in Manchester, UK) to their delegates across the world.
We took control of the production of the show, all of the content and graphic design, video production and host management. The client housed the live stream on their website by creating a bespoke platform which included registration.
Dan Walker, a TV presenter and broadcaster hosted the event. We are passionate about a professional host pulling together a virtual event as they have the know-how to work with the team at The Studio as well as how to convey a message effectively to an online audience.
The show began with an update from SIG Group’s CEO, there was then a Q+A with the UK management team, and a fly-through of their new state of the art SIG Distribution warehouse. There was also a number of breakout rooms delegates could attend.
The following day, delegates could head back onto the website to re-watch the whole event and attend any of the breakouts they didn’t watch on the day.
Over 1000 delegates signed up to the event, broadening SIG’s prospective client reach and capturing data for future use.
