Make Events | Full Service Event Management Manchester | Self Love Summit Signage

Mel Wells is a bestselling author, actor and speaker who’s goal is to help millennial women establish a brand new relationship with food, meaning they will never find themselves starting a new diet, and failing a new diet, ever again. Her Self Love Summit aimed to bring together women from all over the world to celebrate something very important: themselves!

Mel Wells, bestselling author, actor and speaker, approached Make Events to assist her on the UK’s first Self Love Summit. The challenge was to bring together 400-600 guests to celebrate themselves and learn about wellness and self-love.

Make Events were asked to manage the event logistics. As the relationship grew, we saw other areas of the event that we could support and therefore took on more responsibility to make the first UK Self Love Summit a success.

On the day, Make Events show called and event managed which involved the organisation of the stalls, speakers, AV and the flow of the day itself. The speakers and creative content for the day had arranged directly by Mel Wells, but Make Events managed the stalls pre-event to keep track of quantity and timings.

The stalls on the day included; Mantra Jewellery, Lola’s Cupcakes, Miiro Ice Cream, Paleo Granola and a bookshop hosted by Make Events.

The speakers included; Persia Lawson, Megan Jayne Crabbe, Rebecca Campbell, Suzy Ashworth, Julia Montagu, Shannon Kaiser and Zoe McNulty from the School of Strut.

As the summit was so focused on energy and engagement from the audience, the speakers changed their content to fit the mood, which meant that Make Events had to be attentive and flexible to change direction at any point.

Make Events managed the registration, bookshop and brought staff on site to assist with the running of the day. We also provided the VIP’s with MD, Holly Moore’s favourite snack, a Grenade Cookies and Cream bar.

As Mel Wells was hosting the day, she was constantly pulled in different directions which meant Make Events could be there to support with what she needed and what also what needed to be done to make the event seamless.

The event was full of acceptance, love and energy to a degree that was not expected. The content from the speakers was inspiring but seeing everyone’s personal connection to the words spoken was priceless. Everyone united and supported each other. Make Events were thrilled to be a part of the day and can’t wait to start working on next years’ event to bring Mel Well’s Goddesses together again!
