Manchester-founded tech start up, Matillion, reaches epic new heights in 2022. So they didn’t just want any event for their ‘return to live’ Global super all hands conference; they decided to go all in with a killer event strategy and agenda to boot. And who better to match their ambition and deliver the ultimate experience than creative agency, Make Events?
Matillion transforms the way the world uses data; providing data integration and transformation solutions purpose-built for the cloud and cloud data warehouses. In Autumn 2021 they announced they’d raised $150m Series E Funding at $1.5b valuation.
The company is headed up by CEO and Founder Matthew Scullion, named the EY Entrepeneur of the Year 2021 overall winner after Matillion achieved unicorn status. Growth is firmly on the agenda, and they knew the importance and positive impact bringing their global team together in early 2022 would have.
Make Events, entering its 10th anniversary year, were appointed events partner for the conference in September 2021; where the teams collaborated to plan and prepare the ultimate 3-day experience for delegates, taking place in Manchester and virtually. But with covid-related concerns on the rise at the end of 2021, the event wasn’t given the green light to go ahead until January.
The Make Events team hit the ground running to produce an epic hybrid event experience at Manchester Central Convention Complex. With multiple track sessions, international attendees, world-class keynote speakers and the ultimate closing party, ‘Matillioners’ from across the globe came together to get empowered and energised together.
