Ineos Grenadiers is a British professional cycling team that competes at the UCI WorldTeam level. The team is based at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester, England, with a logistics base in Deinze, Belgium.
INEOS Grenadier approached Make Events to help them produce a virtual awards ceremony to celebrate and reward their team after a difficult year.
The event had to reach a global audience and include 120 engagement boxes sent to each of the attendees’ homes.
The awards were live streamed from The Studio; a fully customisable black box space (located in Manchester, UK) to over 100 riders and employees.
The evening was hosted by Matt Stephens, an ex-professional cyclist turned commentator. We are passionate about a professional host pulling together a virtual event as they have the know-how to work with the team at The Studio as well as how to convey a message effectively to an online audience.
Award winners’ families were sent their trophies ahead of time to present them on the evening. We took control of the production of the show, micro site, video production and speaker management.
For the client, it surpassed their expectations and took things to a new level for their 2020 celebration.
“You were calm, professional, hardworking and clear and concise throughout. I don’t think I’ve ever been there on the day of an event and felt as little stress as I did so thank you for all your hard work and effort.” – Kelly McLean, INEOS Grenadier
