Motivate your team with the perfect incentive trip, young or old! Fly to the Balearic Islands with British Airways and be in the Ibiza sun in just over two hours.
We recently took a trip to the island to plan the perfect incentive. First, here are the hotels that provided us with true Ibiza vibes!
Ushuaia – www.ushuaiaibiza.com
– A huge, cheeky hotel that inspires fun!
The home of Mr Ibiza himself, David Guetta (for one night a week), Ushuaia has great conference facilities that pride themselves on avoiding the conventional. See More
In terms of bedrooms there are 236 Ushuaia Club or 181 The Ushuaia Tower. The Ushuaia Tower was conceived to create suites that have all the spirit of Ushuaia and access to the services and events of The Ushuaia Club, but with the added bonus of being able to decide when you want to join the party.
For delegates that still like to work out, there are personal trainers in their fully equipped gym.
The outdoor club gives you a peek into the wild side of Ibiza but without having to leave the comfort of your hotel, this is great for a short weekend incentive and minimises travel.
If clubbing with David Guetta or Tinie Tempah isn’t to your taste, Ushuaia boasts an unbelievable menu – we recommend the calamari. See More
Team building activity – DJ and production master classes which each last for 2 hours in Ushuaia’s very own recording studio. It provides a basic introduction to the world of mixing and production through practice and theory.
Hard Rock Hotel – http://www.hrhibiza.com/
– A music focused hotel from a global chain that never lets you down.
A rock spa, three swim up pools and balconies with awe inspiring views, need we go on?
The 5* hotel has 493 ultra-plush rooms, outdoor and freshwater pools and conference rooms with the latest audiovisual technology. The Elektra and the Chrysalys rooms each measure 40 m2, great for one-to-one meetings, press areas, sales meetings or top-level management meetings.
Team building activity – Reserve a Feder guitar complete with pick and amp to have your very own jam session, or have an in room video lesson.
Sol Beach House & Congress Palace – http://www.sol-hotels.com/en/sol-beach-house
– A relaxing home away from home beach accommodation, adjacent to Ibiza’s conference centre.
The tranquil Sol Beach House will instantly align you with the chilled vibe of Ibiza. The soft hues, hammocks and rent bikes will make you feel special in this peaceful paradise.
The 4* hotel has 239 rooms including three suites, with the largest suite boasting a large terrace area with a hot tub and lots of private seating areas. The terrace can be used for private dining or small parties.
Its beach house atmosphere will allow you and your delegates to experience something completely different, whilst also being five metres from the Congress Palace (Ibiza’s Conference Centre). It also has three meeting rooms of their own with a capacity of 150 people.
Here’s what we got up to…
DAY 1 – Arrive for 1pm
Lunch – Cala Bassa Beach Club – http://cbbcibiza.com/en/
This remote beach club is on soft sand in one of the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza, a thousand years jumper trees shade their three restaurants – try the gourmet menu, gastronomic restaurant, traditional restaurant, sushi and fast bites. (We recommend the paella)
After your food, enjoy the linen-covered loungers or take a dip on one of the jet skis.
Evening – Bambuddha Groove Restaurant – https://bambuddha.com/
Designed to host private parties and large groups, Bambuddha is a restaurant your delegates will struggle to forget.
The vibrant and glamorous atmosphere of this temple combines ‘spirituality and sexuality’ whilst specialising in Dim Sum, steamed buns, raw meat and Sushi. The staff are very knowledgable and will ensure you’re exceptionally catered for.
Morning – Hippy Market
Hire a scooter and head to the Hippy Market. Coaches are available but these arrive at the market at around 11am, which means it is extremely busy and hot. Head down early to get the best deals and a relaxing experience.
You will find original pieces and brightly coloured fabrics here. Wander through the stalls and truly experience the Ibizan style, incense fills the air as you pass artwork, crystals, bags and scarves.
Lunch – Nikki Beach – http://www.nikkibeach.com
Hidden away on the magnificent east coast stands Nikki Beach, a luxury beach club that combines elements of music, dining, entertainment and fashion into one.
Their menu includes delectable dishes featuring signature tastes and spices representative of all the countries that Nikki Beach is located; think creative sushi rolls, seafood entrees and slow-roasted free range rotisserie chicken.
After lunch try their beachside beauty treatments and fruity shisha.
Evening – Heart by Ferràn Adria and Cirque du Soleil – http://www.heartibiza.com/
Heart Ibiza is the result of a ten year friendship, sharing ideas between Ferràn and Albert Adrià and Guy Laliberté (founder of Cirque du Soleil).
We saw a sneak preview of the show before it opened. A bar, restaurant and club with a show, an experience that comes alive through the different areas in the venue.
On arrival, try an aperitif on the Terrace overlooking the town of Dalt Vila. After, move onto the Lab where you will be served first class cuisine alongside exhilarating performances, music and lots of unexpected moments. After your meal, grab a drink and dance through the night in true Ibiza style!
Day – Chill at Ushuaia
Begin day three slowly by chilling out at Ushuaia and having a bite to eat with their delicious appetisers; oysters with a flavour of the sea, Mediterranean and Asian flavours share the centre stage whilst you chill a bottle of french champagne on the side.
Evening – Dinner and dancing at Pacha – http://www.pachaibiza.com/es/
Head to the Pacha restaurant and shisha lounge, open every night until 3.30am. Intimate, stylish and bustling with conversation. Try their Mediterranean and Japanese fusion cuisine then dance through the night at one of the biggest clubs on the Island.
Boasting five different rooms interlaced by stairs and “secret” corridors, Pacha is known for House Music, but it is not a one trick pony. Check out the Funky Room where the music has a disco soulful and funky touch, then wander up to the Roof Terrace where there a inviting couches, lounge music, cocktails and the beautiful night sky.
